Common questions
How do I connect my music?
Open Oort and connect the storage you already use — Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, or local files. Sign in to your cloud account when prompted and Oort builds a single library from your files. Nothing is uploaded or copied to our servers.
A track won't play or won't stream
This is almost always a connection or sign-in hiccup. Check that you're online, then re-open the cloud account in Oort's settings to refresh its connection. If a specific file won't play, confirm it plays in its source app too — it may be an unsupported or corrupted file.
Tracks, album art, or tags are missing or wrong
Oort reads tags and folder structure from your files. If something looks off, trigger a library re-scan from settings so Oort re-reads your metadata. Cleaning up the tags in your source files will also flow through to Oort.
I bought Oort but it's asking me to buy again
If you reinstalled Oort or set up a new Mac, choose Restore Purchase. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it on, your license comes right back at no extra charge.
How does the trial and purchase work?
Oort is free to try for 14 days with every feature unlocked. After that it's a one-time purchase — no subscription. You keep it forever, including future updates.
Which file formats are supported?
Oort plays the common lossless and lossy formats Apple devices support, including FLAC, ALAC, AAC, and MP3.

How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
